Q. When any of our POUCH products are working it smells like chlorine or bleach. Is chlorine dioxide another name for these products?
A. No, chlorine dioxide is not chlorine or bleach, it is a chemical compound made up of one part chlorine and two parts oxygen (the formula ClO2.) While chlorine dioxide does have that same "clean" or "crisp" smell that bleach and chlorine have ClO2 is far more powerful and safer for you and the environment. ClO2 is more effective against odor causing agents and, equally important, ClO2 does not produce carcinogenic byproducts such as THM’s in water (e.g.), as chlorine and bleach do.
Q. What is the difference between OdorSCIENCE™ products and other odor removal products and more specifically those who claim to use chlorine dioxide as well?
A. OdorSCIENCE™ products are for serious odors. We do not perfume the air. We clean it and the surfaces in any enclosed space. There are no other technology platforms like ours. OS products actively attack odors at the source with an active ingredient that is powerful and safe and works in the air and on surfaces at the same time!. Masking agents, absorbers, ion chargers or other "so called molecule changers", and/or ozone or any host of chemicals and even plant based sterols. Non chloroform e of which have any broad application to what is causing the odors. Chlorine Dioxide has been effectively and safely used for 128+ years to clean, deodorize, sanitize, disinfect, and sterilize. Our “pouch” now can bring you this power.
Q. Can I use this product to get the smell out of my house or other spaces?
A. Yes you can. This is an excellent treatment for any odors caused from bacteria, mold, mildew, and chemicals. Especially pet, urine, vomit, tobacco & flood mold and mildew smells. We recommend using Room Cleanser Fast Release first to take back control of the space, air and surfaces, carpets, any floors.

Q. What should I know about safely using and handling of OdorSCIENCE™ products?
A. Never open the white pouch. Never directly heavily breath in the active ingredient. Wash hands after using. ALWAYS DISPOSE OF IN AN OUTSIDE WASTE CONTAINER. ALWAYS REMOVE FAST RELEASE PRODUCT KIT (CLAMSHELL-POUCH-SPONGE AFTER NO MORE THAN 12-18 HOURS. OdorSCIENCE products are very safe when used as directed. Please follow instructions. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN & DO NOT EAT. Our products are designed to be USED AS DIRECTED thus reducing any problems.
Q. When a “FAST TREATMENT” is used; will the leftover chlorine smell go away?
A. When any Fast Release treatment is completed, immediately remove (all) complete kit(s) and dispose of in OUTSIDE waste container. Open all doors, windows, hatches, run any HVAC system(s) for 1 hour or longer. If smell still lingers or persists after 1 several hours, SPRAY SPACE(S) with a masking agent. The OdorSCIENCE treatment will neutralize the masking odor and itself at the same time leaving no smell.
